Mike answered right away at 8AM on Monday when I called to ask about getting on the schedule. He was able to get the car on the lift and immediately recognized and conveyed the severity of the issue. He was upfront about the substantial risk associated with the repair, which required tapping the threads in the engine block which was severely corroded. The aluminum block can crack when tapped, which would basically require an engine replacement. Most auto shops won’t even consider attempting the repair because of the risk. Mike got the old part out, flushed the engine and changed the oil to complete the repair. He was consistently immediately responsive, up front and honest. And most important - he was able to do clean up the near disaster because corrosion never sleeps.
